“So then you are […] also members of the household of God, built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone.” – Ephesians 2:19-20

This series of workshops provides practical insights, grounded in the Reformed tradition, for pastors, church leaders, and congregations facing the current paradigm shift in modern Christianity.

The challenge of our time is to understand "the water we swim in" and see where Jesus Christ is leading us going forward. The workshop looks for signs and sources of an authentic Gospel message emerging amidst the paradigm shift occurring around us. It also seeks to move beyond the old message and methodologies that no longer work well.

What We’ll Explore:

  • The Current Context: Examine why the the current paradigm no longer works for those who are turning away from the Christian faith in our culture.
  • Where the Gospel is at Risk: Assess where the Gospel message today is at risk and learn from Christians who have gone before us in similiar times and situations.
  • A Way Forward: Join the conversation in seeking authentic insights for the Church centered in Jesus Christ while navigating the newly emerging paradigm.

The workshop will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm, at ICSM's office, 7615 Colony Road, Suite 210, in Charlotte. The cost is $150 per person, with lunch provided. This workshop is limited to 20 participants, so early registration is encouraged.

Reformed Theology - It's All About Grace

This two-day workshop seeks to recapture insights into daily living with God from a perspective centered in Christ and rooted in grace. The workshop is for pastors, church leaders, and congregation members interested in a deeper engagement with Reformed theology and how God's grace frees us to participate with Christ in his work of ministry.

Learn More

This workshop draws on Scripture and Reformed sources to highlight our daily walk with God while abiding in the saving grace of Jesus Christ—God with us. Thinking graciously and clearly helps us move beyond the transactional, command-and-do approaches to faith which are so widespread today.

What We’ll Explore:

  • Modern Christianity: Reflect on how the current era of Christianity mirrors the late Middle Ages when the message was dominated by various forms of works righteousness that nullify the striking gift character of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
  • The Grace of the Gospel: Examine the sources—the Bible, the Protestant Reformation (1520+), and others both ancient and modern—which talk about God's grace, the gift of participating in that grace, and the freedom of not having to trade on grace.
  • Looking Forward: Rediscover grace as the energy-filled space God creates for sinners to abide in the love of Jesus Christ and walk with God on a daily basis.

This workshop is held at ICSM's office, 7615 Colony Road, Suite 210, in Charlotte. The cost of this workshop is $250 per person, with lunch provided both days.

This workshop is not currently scheduled for 2026.
